Today was another fairly slow day legislatively. We did hold a glorious Convention Eucharist with the UTO Ingathering, formally nominate seven candidates for Presiding Bishop, elect the Rev. Brian Prior as Vice President of the House of Deputies, and hold a moving tribute to our outgoing President, Dean George Werner, and slog through too few Resolutions to make us feel good about the calendar.

Just being in a room with 6,000 Episcopalians is quite a thrill, and worth remembering. During the Presiding Bishop Elections, the House of Bishops joined us, and everyone was there.
For the first time, all of the NW Texas folks in Columbus got together. There are around 20 of us here. Only Betty Gilmore and Kelsey Kemp weren't able to make it.
The Chair of Liturgy and Music led us through most of today's legislation. And people responded in a variety of ways.
Speaking of variety, the corridors of Convention reveal real a real richness... among our Deputies that reflects the breadth and complexity of our Church.
