Today was the first Legislative Day of Convention, and as all days will, this one began with the Eucharist and small group discussions during the sermon time. One real treat was a visit from the Archbishop of York, who brought Convention a message from the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams.

The day starts with a 15 walk, or a shorter bus ride to the Convention Center. Wherever you want to go, it's a long way from where you are. Always.
Every day begins the same way, the way it should begin. Remember, always, that you are baptized.
Early in Convention, most work is done in Committee, which is where we were most of the time. But we did have two Legislative Sessions. (The chicken story is for another day; and yes, the fellow with the beard really does play guitar for ZZ Top.)
I go back to the Exhibit Hall whenever I can, to see some things that were there last time... and some things that weren't.
