General Convention,
2003
This page is a collections of links to Web resources on the 2003 General Convention, which
will be July 30-August 8 in Minneapolis. I anticipate very good Web coverage of
the Convention. Because of that, this page will not be as extensive as it was three years ago. Fortunately, that isn't necessary this time. These pages
should be up and available for some time after Convention is over.
The best sites out now seem to be:
- Special Diocesan Reports, as soon as Convention
begins, include:
- How We See it-Reflections from our Bishop
and Deputies at General Convention
-
Snapshots--Photos by and of our Delegation
at General Convention in Minneapolis
- The Convention Daily--Daily
reports on the doings of Convention, can be found
here.
- Other sources
of Daily News from General Convention.
- The
General Convention Office of the National Episcopal Church. The site is
growing and developing nicely. It has a bunch of good information on it.
- The
"Blue Book", of Reports and Resolutions to Convention, prepared several
months before Convention, is on line.
- The General
Convention Pages of the Diocese of Minnesota. This is a nice
introduction to this Convention, with information about the city and
Convention facilities.
- Louie Crew's General
Convention Pages. Louie is a bit of a character and has a
perspective, but he also offers some of the most informative Web pages in
the Church. This start towards a comprehensive General Convention page is
well worth a careful look.
- The
Deputies and First Alternates from the Diocese of Northwest Texas,
with their E-Mail Addresses, are listed
- Anglicans On Line always
has a interesting perspective and solid news.
- The Episcopal Church Website
and Episcopal News Service
will give up-to-the-minute reports.
