There were two Episcopal Addresses to the 48th Annual Convention of
the Diocese of Northwest Texas, which met October 27-29 in Abilene.
At the center of these was Bishop Ohl's Charge
to Convention, delivered on the floor of Convention on Saturday, October
28.
Our Guest Speaker at Convention was the Very. Rev.
Philip Turner, Interim Dean and President of the Episcopal Theological
Seminary of the Southwest in Austin. His

The convention also dealt with a few Resolutions, including:
A Resolution on Apportionment, which failed to pass; and
A Resolution on the Millennium
Development Goals, which passed slightly amended.
Also passed was a Resolution establishing an Ad Hoc Commission on
Reconciliation.
